When God created man he saw that it was not good for him to live alone. So, he prepared a helpmate and companion to live with man and share his life. He took not the woman from man's head, lest she should rule over him. Nor from his feet, lest he should trample upon her. But from his side that she should be his equal, and from close to his heart that he should love, cherish, and honor her.

Dear Family and Friends,

Love and relationships are what life is about. Tonight we come joyfully to celebrate the decisions Groom and Bride made ___ years ago to share their love by joining in marriage.

Therefore...

Dearly Beloved,

We are gathered together here in the sight of God and in the presence of these witnesses to again join together this man and this woman in holy matrimony, which is an honorable estate instituted by love. It is therefore not to be entered into unadvisedly, but reverently, discreetly and in the eyes of God.

Groom -- will you have Bride to be your wedded wife to live together in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, keeping only unto her so long as you both shall live?

Bride -- will you have Groom to be your wedded husband to live together in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, keeping only unto him so long as you both shall live?

Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited, it is never rude or selfish, it does not take offense and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people's faults, but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope. It is always ready to endure whatever comes. True love does not come to an end

Groom -- look into Bride's eyes and into her heart and repeat after me:

On this day ___ years ago, I promised to love you and cherish you, all the days of my life. I hereby reaffirm that promise, in the presence of God and our family. Bride you have been my best friend and companion, and the revered mother of our Children, but most of all, you have been my beautiful loving bride for all these years, and I renew my pledge to you today, of my eternal devotion.

Bride look into Groom's eyes and into his heart and repeat after me:

On this day ___ years ago, I promised to love you and cherish you, all the days of my life. I hereby reaffirm that promise, in the presence of God and our family. Groom you have been my best friend and companion, and the revered father of our Children, but most of all you have been my handsome loving husband, for all these years, and I renew my pledge to you today of my eternal devotion.

____ years ago you chose these rings as the symbol of your marriage covenant. They are made of gold, a metal that does not tarnish and is enduring. These rings represent the ties that bind you together as husband and wife. They are an endless circle representing your marriage union which shall be eternal and pure as these rings.

Groom, please place the ring on Bride's finger and repeat after me:

With this ring, I wed you Bride for today, for tomorrow, and for all the years to come. Please wear it as a sign of my love and a notice to all the world that you have chosen me to be your husband.

Bride, please place the ring on Groom's finger and repeat after me:

With this ring, I wed you Groom for today, for tomorrow, and for all the years to come. Please wear it as a sign of my love and a notice to all the world that you have chosen me to be your wife.

(Insert optional ceremonies or poetry)

My prayer for you today is,

May you always remain sweethearts, helpmates and friends.

May your life together be full of kindness and understanding,
thoughtfulness and rejoicing.

May the years bring you happiness and contentment.

May you enter into each other's sorrow by sympathy,
Into each other's joy with gladness,
Into each other's hope with faith and trust,
Into each other's needs with the sure presence of love,
Into each other's lives with enthusiasm and embracing.

Amen.

And now by the power of your own love, I pronounce you are married again. You may still call yourself those cherished names:
Husband and Wife.

You may seal your promise with a kiss
.
